SPRING WORKSHOPS - ONLINE!

We're coming up on the home stretch of my residency at the University of Calgary! I've planned a couple of workshops for the next few weeks to give myself a break from my tornado of drafts, and explore some themes that are really important to me, especially after co-organizing REVERB for so long.

I know these topics maybe aren't as exciting as "craft" workshops, but so much of this information was incredibly helpful to me as an emerging writer--or would have been! I wish we focused more on these practical (and relational) approaches in structured, low-barrier ways in this industry. So here's me taking a swing at it. Each of these workshops is free and online, with automatic captions, and I can easily provide a corrected transcript by request.

On May 8th, come to Dress Rehearsal, a two-part workshop on how to prepare for better readings and performances as a writer. The first hour is everything I know about creating a positive event experience for yourself, organizers, and audience members. The second hour is practice time!
